- Magical Leaf - Scatters white petals from his bouquets, that chase the target like missiles. This attack never miss.

Appearance:
The very first thing you'll notice about this guy is how divine he smells. Like a thousand flowers in bloom or the sweetest kind of baked goods. The experience may differ from person to person but everyone can agree it's a very pleasant scent. The rest of him is not as amazing. Despite standing at a height of 5'6, his body is really, really thin. Like he suffers from some sort of eating disorder. As an bonus he got weird eyes, high cheekbones and pale skin. Yeah, he doesn't really look that healthy. He covers his sickly looking body from head to toe in covering clothing. Often in a elegant get-up but he isn't that picky. As long the clothes do their job on protecting his skin, he's all good. He also like to wear hats but have a bit trouble making them stay in place with such a white mess of a hair. His eyes are also white, but that's because he's almost blind. He thus uses a cane to orient his way. He'll also wear sunglasses during bright days to protect his sensitive eyes. When he isn't using the glasses they rests on the brim of his hat.

Personality

Light Sensitive - He absolutely hates the light. Mostly the sun but also other sources of strong light. During the day he sticks to the shade or dress in clothing that covers all of his skin, hats and sunglasses as well. He's more active during the night and loves cloudy days with lots of rain. Not too fond of flash lights either.

Arrogant - Any other pokemon, no matter of type or breed, is bellow him. He thus appears as snooty and shallow. That is how he mockingly got the nickname 'Prince', but he rather likes it so jokes on you. He'll only treat you with respect if you deserve it.

Vampyristic - He feeds on absorbing nutriments from pokemon blood. Every pokemon is then viewed as a meal to him. Shiny pokemon is the tastiest~

Elegant - How he moves, how he acts, how he fights; it's all done with elegance and dignity. Like a gentleman with a stiff upper lip, he seems to never loose his calm.

Alluring - Common fact about Roserades is the more lethal they are, the sweeter they smell. Despite being really sickly looking, there's a strong unexplainable attraction about him. And since he is such a vamperistic character, he sure knows how to utulize this trait. The more he wants something, the sweeter he get. The real danger is when his patience has run dry.


History

When Payne was very young he was like any sweet Budew, spending all his days frolicking in the sun and just enjoying life. He was a happy, innocent lil' bud~
But one day he accidentally wandered into a dark cave and couldn't find his way out. Inevitably he strayed deeper and deeper into the darkness where the sun couldn't reach. For a grass pokemon, the sun is the most vital source of energy and without it he began to become weaker and weaker. A perfect opportunity for any bullying Zubat or aggressive Geodude to beat the little pokemon to a pulp, not respecting the young age of the Budew.

Without any source of nourishment and under a constant threat, things was looking rather grim for the little pokemon. But he didn't loose hope. He had an immense belief in surviving.
Since he was so young, he'd never had the chance to spar with another pokemon on the same level and fighting generally scared him. But because of the desperate circumstances, he had to protect himself. And through observing the Zubats, he learned how they Leeched Life from other pokemon. Desperate for nourishment and healing, it gave him the idea to use his Absorb in the same manner.
It worked! It gave him the energy he needed and strength to protect himself from harm. It was literally an 'eat or get eaten' attitude he had to undertake.

Many years later, he was found by an elite trainer and her shiny Fearow, randomly traveling through the cave like most trainers do. They where absolutely horrified by the look of this poor pokemon, who had survived through years of darkness and blood. Stuck in a dark cave.
With the amassed experience from all the countless battles, the Budew had turned into a Roselia. But growing up without any light, he was pale in color and his roses had no pigment at all. They where all white. To this trainer he looked rather like a wilted rose than a pokemon.

The trainer took him outside, believed the nourishing sunlight would help the pokemon but was wrong. The damage had already been done as the Roselia shunned the sun as it's warm rays burned his sensitive skin and blinded his eyes with it's bright light. The trainer still wanted to help this poor soul and so took him into her care, keeping him protected from the sun in the comfort of a dark pokeball. She wanted to find a cure for his condition and tried many things. One way was to evolve him into a Roserade, hoping the new evolution would help. It did but not entirely. Though he still hated the light it doesn't harm him as much any more. But the roses on his arms are still white and his body is still pale. At least he looked healthier.

Through his merciless past, the Roserade knew very well how to fight but it was violent and bloody. His trainer spent much time and energy to refine his talent into something more controlled and less lethal. It was then he got the name 'Royal Payne' because of his vampyristic character, shunning the light and feeding on pokemon blood. His trainer also tried to remove his thirst for blood by teaching him other nutriments that regular pokemon like. But the bloodlust was too deeply rooted in him to disappear entirely, but for her he was willing to try. Now he can eat pretty much anything but with great dislike.

For a time, Payne traveled with his trainer and became one of her best fighters alongside the shiny Fearow 'Precious'. Later on his trainer got an offer she couldn't refuse. But for that she had to travel to a place where Payne couldn't follow.
Perhaps it was a foolish idea of her to believe Payne's vamyristic behavior could be left unsupervised. But she trusted him enough to be released back into the wild. She had done everything for him and for that he was forever grateful. Now he was strong enough to be set free and create his own path in life. And so he did. They parted as friends. 

It was then he heard about the Dittech from other pokemon, an amazing device that could turn pokemon into humans.
But due to the experience he had in his life he sees pokemon as food and humans as friends. So to him, food turning into humans sounded awfully preposterous!
Arrogantly, he thinks he's above any other pokemon and so looking like a human is what he ALONE deserve. Any pokemon else is unworthy to wear such a pristine form. 

But he isn't a dumb potato. Though socializing with pokemon is bellow him, he could put on a fake smile and act sweet for a reward. Due to his alluring trait, he successfully tricked the other pokemon to believe he's a kind soul and worthy of the Dittech secret. He just had to give it a little patience and then a Dittech would be his~

Adapting to his new human form was not that much of a problem. Roserades are rather humanoid in their bodies and the problem with his eyes and skin stayed on as well as a human so nothing much changed except in looks. But due to his pale skin he burns really easily and covers himself with clothing he finds 'fitting for such a benevolent appearance'. He also moves pretty stiffly when human, like he doesn't want to break his body. He doesn't even want to stain it so his human form is more clean and neat that his pokemon form. 
He does have taken this human business really seriously and want to find work and some kind of living, despite his great dislike for the sun and anything bright. He just have to find a way to work with it and with himself.

Extras

- When caught of guard with a sudden struck by a bright light, he'll cover his eyes and hiss. Just like an old school vampire.

- Bloodorange is probably the only fruit he enjoys.

- As a grass type, fire damages him GREATLY so he stays away from any kind of lit fire as much as possible. Smokers and their lighters makes him super nervous.

- His favorite flower is the Narcissus - Daffodils and the like.

- He dress in bright colors to avoid attracting heat. Paler variations of green is a favorite.

- Though feeding on absorbing the nutriments in blood, he never tastes the blood. Just sneaks up on someone and sucks up the nutriments with a Giga Drain move.

- Rarely kills anyone. Not even when challenged into a bloody battle. Death is a sweet escape after all~

- Since his eyes haven't been properly used since childhood, they look pretty weird. He's practically blind as a bat during the day but his eyes works the best during the night and in dark places. He also responds better to motion than to color and orients himself with motions in the ground, sound and draft. He only uses his cane as a human.

- Always wears a necklace made enticingly out of tiny fragments of a sunstone. He got it from his trainer in belief it would help him overcome his light sensitivity. It didn't work but he still keeps it as a memento.

- Getting overheated/feeling weak will make the petals on his arms to slowly fall off. 

- His human body is the most precious to him. If you want him to loose his cool, just splash some mud on it. He would literally scream. :V and then chase you

- Is taller than regular Roserades due to a thing called etiolation - plants in absence of light will grow long, weak and pale.
